frogger in regina

This is my blog from 2001 when I was living in Regina, Saskatchewan. When I landed, I had no job, little money and instant bills to pay. Much hilarity ensues...

Tuesday, August 7

Buffalo Days wrapup!

Boys and girls it is hot here!
Just a little update:
Last Friday, I got a temp
job serving ice cream
to cowboys and cowgirls at
the Regina Exhibition!

Favourite flavours:

Tiger Tiger (cowboys)
Maple Walnut (seniors)
Boo Boo Bubblicious (kids)
Cooke Dough (teen girls)
Cherry Cheese Cake (middle aged secretaries)

I was serving ice cream to a bunch
of nice yahoos in a stadium
as wild horses tossed their
riders to and fro.
7 seconds.
I couldn't get a job as a rodeo
clown try as I might because
it had something to do with
"being a frog".

I don't know what they're talking
about.

On Saturday, I went to the
exhibition proper and took
lots and lots of pictures.
I post them up for you soon.

Other than that, I've just been
trying to stay cool here.
"The Score"
"Bridget Jones' Diary"
Yck!
But hey, it's air conditioning!

There ya go!
